An Opening Chakra Meditation to Enhance Your Life
This opening chakra meditation, when practised properly, will restore perfect balance to every part of your life and help you to become more psychic. The seven major chakras in your spinal column give you tremendous physical, spiritual and sexual energy when they are vibrating healthily, and this meditation will help you to unlock the power contained within your chakras.
It is advisable to practise this opening chakra meditation before you commence any psychic work as it will enable you to reach the necessary calm state of mind needed to read auras and tune into the Spirit world.
Opening Chakra Meditation for Relaxation and Perfect Health
1. Go to a quiet, positive place where you won't be distracted by anyone or anything. Close your eyes, keep your spine upright to promote proper energy flow, and take your attention to your breathing. Follow each inhalation and exhalation you make.
2. Ask for a protective white light to surround you in a bubble of healing energy. Now that you have asked for this protection, you will only attract positive energy and information.
Your opening chakra meditation will begin to enhance your physical well-being by allowing your chakras to fully open and release healing energies throughout your physical body.
3. After 2-3 minutes of gentle, deep breathing you should be feeling relaxed and ready to expand your chakras. If you notice any thoughts which conflict with your focus on your breathing, let them go as soon as you become aware of them and return your focus to your breath.
4. Take your attention now to the base of your spine. This is where your root chakra is located. Allow your thoughts to stay in the base of your spine and begin to visualise a beautiful red rosebud starting to open into a magnificent red flower.
Red is associated with the base or root chakra. Practising an opening chakra meditation on the colour of red will further open this chakra to release its full healing energies throughout your body. Once you have visualised this chakra, imagine its healing red energy expanding from that source and filling your entire body.
5. When you feel that your red chakra (red rose) has sufficiently opened to its full extent, visualise moving up your spine a couple of inches from the base. This close neighbour north of the root chakra is called the sacral chakra.
As the sacral chakra is associated with the colour of orange and the nearby sexual organs, begin to visualise a tight orange rosebud beginning to open and transform into a stunning orange rose.
Allow its healing orange light to pervade every cell of your body by visualising it travelling out from its source to every major area in your body, infusing it with healing orange light.
6. Move next to the area behind your navel and meditate on a magnificent golden rosebud in the same way. Deep yellow or gold is the colour associated with the solar plexus, the area behind your belly button. Allow this majestic golden hue to fill every pore of your body and restore any imbalances it may encounter within your bodily sytem.
7. Travel next up to your chest cavity to the place of your heart chakra. This is associated with a deep green healing colour, so meditate at this point on a green rosebud opening to spread its verdant healing energy throughout your chest area and the rest of your body.
8. When you are ready, allow your opening chakra meditation to move further up and into your throat region. Here lies the throat chakra which is associated with the colour of blue.
Meditate at this point on the image of a blue rosebud slowly opening to infuse your throat with its healing blue energy before encouraging it to spread its healing throughout your body. This blue meditation will also help to clear up any problems you may occasionally experience in your throat area.
9. Next the meditation moves up to your third eye, the area between your eyebrows and the home of all psychic imagery and clairvoyance. Take your focus to the area between your eyebrows and visualise a serene purple rosebud slowly opening to infuse you with greater perceptive powers and healing energy. Allow this purple healing light to move throughout your system and transmit its healing energy to every far corner of your physical body.
10. Lastly, raise your awareness to the area just above your head, as though a trap-door in your skull had opened up to a top deck where a magnificent white rosebud is slowly opening. Allow this powerful spiritual white energy to flourish as you imagine the white rosebud opening. Allow its healing white light to cascade down your body and infuse every cell with its healing, spiritual goodness.
11. When you are ready, return your awareness to your breath and make sure you are still breathing more deeply than normal. This meditation can last anywhere from 5 to 30 minutes and will infuse you on every level with energy and a general sense of well-being and peace.
Allow your intuition to direct you as to the length of the meditation: some days you will desire to stretch it out and draw on the full benefits of the practise, while other days you need only harness it for a few minutes to feel the improvement. Practise and experience will show you which path to take when using this meditation.
